TECAPEEK® PVX black is a modified PEEK material that may be based on Victrex® PEEK 450G or Solvay Ketaspire® KT-820.  The material is classified in the same performance category as other bearing grade PEEK products such as Victrex® PEEK™ FC30. We supplement the PEEK base polymer with 10% each of PTFE, graphite, and carbon fiber. That makes TECAPEEK PVX an ultra high performance bearing material that incorporates the properties of a premium polymetric matrix material, with optimum levels of specific wear enhancing additives. It is ideally suited for technical bearing and wear applications. This PEEK modified formulation raises the continuous use temperature by approximately 4°C and increases the limiting PV dramatically, while maintaining excellent chemical resistance. When used as a non-metallic bearing, PEEK PVX offers a superb range of tribological performance characteristics. TECAPEEK PVX black is designed to run at high loads and speeds in hostile environments and can either be run dry or with an external lubricant. TECAPEEK® is a registered trademark of Ensinger.
