TECAFORM® AH ELS POM uses Acetal POM as a base resin. Acetal is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction and medium level dimensional stability. The addition of carbon black creates excellent electrical conductivity in the material. TECAFORM® is a registered trademark of Ensinger. Carbon black filled POM-C offers excellent chemical resistance, high strength and hardness, and high abrasion resistance. In addition, carbon black filled POM-C has good UV and weather resistance. Having exceptional wear properties as well, makes this special acetal copolymer an ideal choice also for sliding applications
Advantages of Acetal POM resin as a base polymer compared to commodity resins:
- High fatigue resistance
- High creep resistance
- High toughness
- High tensile strength and stiffness
- Enables thinner, lighter part design
- Electrically conductive
Benefits of TECAFORM® AH ELS POM:
- Low to mid-level conductive surface resistivity (10⁴ - 10⁶ Ω/square)
- Available in Rod or Plate!
- Lowest cost of all conductive materials
- Flexural Modulus of 218,000 psi and a Tensile Strength of 6,000 psi
Target industries:
- Chemical technology
- Electronics
- Mechanical engineering
- Automotive industry
