TECAFORM® AH SD POM uses Acetal POM as a base resin. Acetal is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction and medium level dimensional stability. The addition of this antistatic agent produces a defined degree of conductivity in the antistatic range. However, the addition of the antistatic agent can compromise the strength and hardness of the material depending on the application. TECAFORM® AH SD natural is a white acetal and offers good wear resistance, high chemical resistance, and has high toughness and strength. Furthermore, this special anti-static POM-C white acetal has exceptional electrical conductivity, which makes it a perfect material for products and applications in the electronics industry. TECAFORM® is a registered trademark of Ensinger. Advantages of Acetal POM resin as a base polymer compared to commodity resins:
- High fatigue resistance
- High creep resistance
- High toughness
- High tensile strength and stiffness
- Enables thinner, lighter part design
- Electrically conductive
Benefits of TECAFORM® AH SD POM:
- Delivers high controlled surface resistivity (109 – 1011 Ω/square) for controlled Electro Static bleed off with Antistatic properties
- Excellent performance vs cost
- Non-sloughing, opaque white
Target industries:
- Food technology
- Semiconductor technology
- Chemical technology
- Electronics
- Mechanical engineering
