Dry Environment & Electro Static Dissipative (ESd) Materials

Dry Environment in semiconductor plastics refers to any application that is related to the IC devise manufacturing process that does not come in contact with a liquid, gas or plasma reagent.  Processes such as lithography, dicing, metrology & wafer mobility require plastics that perform specific highly specialized functions.  These functions include but are not limited to:

  • Electrostatic control
  • Conductivity
  • Low particulation
  • Wear resistance
  • Thermal insulators

In general, no two application requirements are the same when it comes to dry environment and thus each solution must be carefully selected to achieve the results needed.  Our sales specialists are available to help you select the optimal product for your application

Common product families used for Dry Environment applications

  • PEEK
  • PI
  • PEI
  • PAI
  • Celazole® PBI

Featured Materials

  • TECAPEEK® LP – thin plate PEEK material available from 0.4mm to 3.5mm thick.  TECAPEEK LP is extremely flat with a superior surface and offering low outgassing!  Perfect when you need to dial in a thin layer of PEEK in your project.

  • Semitron® ESd PEEK-CNT – Advanced polymer offering dissipative properties while maintaining much of the cleanliness of the base resin, PEEK.
